CleverCynic
So my son's 7th b-day party was 4 days ago. I bought him one of those air hogs choppers. WHAT A BLAST! However, the first one the back peg legging snapped and it only spins out of controlBought another one the next day. Upon first charge the receptacle just pushed deeper into the foam and by the 5th time ceased to function. I just grabbed a 3rd one, but I know the clock is ticking on it already and it's not even out of the box yet. Anyone know if there is a heartier version out there or if the more expensive ones stand a better shot? I know they have to be super light (read P.O.S), but come on! They weren't even abused! JustaTexan
So is it bad that I seriously have no fricking clue what you are talking about?
CleverCynic
LOL... just means your kids don't have any cool toys No, it's these piece of crap foam remote control helicopters. They are about $30 at target or wally world. They are incredibly cool indoor flyers, but they don't last more than a day... no matter WHAT! whocares
Once around the room, hit the wall and was trash...
CleverCynic
Yep, the 3rd one lasted even less than the first 2. Kid had a couple friends over, when it would land (crash) they raced over to it to be the one to pick it up and of course stepped on it. Son's pilot's license has been revoked until further notice. isislc
I'm glad I never bought my kid one but he begged me to. I didn't think that thing would survive one crash landing.
DocDon
They make a larger version of the chopper, but you can't battle.Check out the Storm Launcher... if you decide to get one, consider picking up a roll of lightweight reinforcing tape. You'll know where to put it after landing wrong.
