Does re-Insertion rules apply to Judgments?

Recommended Posts

Today when I checked my credit reports the last negative item on my TU was gone. A judgment from 2005. I removed all of my old addresses and incorrect names (even though the judgment has the correct name) and then I filed an online dispute with TU on 10/16. Today the results came back and they deleted the judgment.

I know it is harder to re-insert a TL that was removed but what are the rules regarding Judgments? Is this something that will probably end up back on my report?

I now have to work on EQ and EX(as if they do anything about disputes).

Thanks

"...I filed an online dispute..."

There is much info on the board about online vs. snail mail disputes. You may wish to do some research & reading.

A valid Public Record can appear on your CR any time during Reporting Period, per the FCRA 1681c, Subsection 605. The reinsertion provision would apply also, but then, you'd have to prove your case. That's the tickle, apparently, with online disputes...

I have read and researched and while many go with written only I tend to do both. I had already disputed this PR and had nothing else to dispute so I thought I would try again. Reinsertion would be hard to fight because the judgment is valid (I guess)
