I would google WhyChat Hippa - he/she seems like a very knowledgable person on getting med collections removed. There is a process that is preached. scorch
Paid collections are easier to get deleted than unpaid ones. If you have a paid collection, you can simply request verification to each of the CRAs. I recently had four deletes doing that.
muneca2
Yes, I have a medical paid collection...at this point I will try anything like request verification and whychat hippa. I am a very persistent person, I'll try until I get something done!thanks to both of you,muneca2
nascar
I am a very persistent person, I'll try until I get something done! But there's no reason to make a fool of yourself in the process. Sending letters like the ones mentioned above alert the debt collectors that you know absolutely nothing about what you're doing. The whychat stuff is the worst of the worst in terms of internet nonsense.

scorch
I was about to question whychat. Is it some type of satellite method to credit repair? Is medical debt supposed to be different than regular debt or something?
nascar
Is medical debt supposed to be different than regular debt or something? No, it isn't; not in the context of your question anyway.
scorch
No, it isn't; not in the context of your question anyway. As if a different method should be used when trying to clear up any other debt. I would just stick to the advice here on CIC...
muneca2
definitely, I don't want to make fool of myself...let's say I ask for verification to the CA and comeback verified and then what is the next thing to do. In my humble opinion, is hard to say "is not mine" and to make things worsts "is paid" and not to mention, I didn't have insurance at that time=I don't know if that helps any= I'd like to find a way to get deletion on the first time of dispute=like everybody else of course= any extra advice?muneca2
momof5
I tried whychat's process also....without success. The CA (in SC) is collecting for a physician in SC. They don't bother me here in FL. They have done nothing more than report to the CRAs. I tried whychat's method and got a DV which showed the docs office waited 2 years to bill ins or me! They included every bit of documentation. I offered a PFD and that was refused. She offered a 30% discount but I would have a paid collection. Told her that it was SOL so I got a deletion or nothing! She didn't even know the SOL in SC was 3 years! I tried the BBB and the Consumer Advocate office in SC to no avail. It rolls off this coming spring. Oh well. tmac01
Whychat didn't work for me either then He/She came up with a lame excuse that I worded something wrong and that it would stay on my CR forever.
