scorch
can this be done from looking @ "date of last payment" on your CR? I have no more records on the account I think is SoL.It varies by state. momof5
As a simplistic place to start counting, you could use that date. This is the date last reported and might not be accurate. It could give a good estimating point. The downside is if you made a payment later than that and the creditor has records, it could derail a SOL defense. momof5
Is it with the OC or the CA?If CA, do a 1-2 punch. (Dispute with CRA as soon as DV request hits CA.) While the CA is tied up dealing with you, they often fail to meet the 30 day window of the CRA dispute and delete.Becareful.....sometimes you wake a sleeping dog. Also, if the acct has been dormant for years, it isn't affecting your FICO as much. A verification will refresh it and hit your FICO. I had that happen recently. Also, if it is reported on less than all 3, you might suddenly find it hitting all 3 (had that happen too).Remember, if you wake the sleeping dog, you just use the SOL affirmative defense.Always keep in mind that Credit repair is a roller coaster ride.....some ups, some downs, but always exciting (and usually in the positive direction! )
ManWithANewPlan
There are several SOL categories, oral contract, written contract, promissory note, and open ended. Which applies to medical debts?

andres99pony
Is it with the OC or the CA?well, both. I have one listing under the OC (credit union) and another under the CA, both for the same amount.I am damn sure the SOL is out. Should I try to DV the OC? I already sent my DV to the CA, and got my RR..........cross my fingers as to what happens!
