farmgirl
Ok, just wanted to make sure I understand sol. The sol for open accounts (i.e. cc) in Missouri is 5 years. This means that technically the ca or oc have no leg to stand on to collect, but it WILL stay on the cr for 7 years from dola, Right? One more question, I've read that a lot of cc cpmpanies only keep records for 24 months, and can't respond to validations from the cra during disputes, allowing for deletions. True? True?If only it were that easy... Are you sure you read 24 months? I would think that they retain records for a number of years.
farmgirl
Yeah, that's what I meant - DOFD. Oops. Yes, I'm sure. It was an unusually short time. Just wondering if anyone else had luck with that. Thanks.
momof5
WRT CA record keeping....It all depends upon their computing system.....even most major companies have to roll data off to tape at 5yrs and then it is usually stored off site. After 5 yrs, you might give a wag at another dispute just to see if it works....Small shops....If they don't have much data to deal with, you can bet it is still on the server.
