Husker
I recently received a settlement offer from Capital Management Services. The letter had this statement."Capital Management Services, LP is authorized to accept less than the full balence due as settlement of the above account. The settlement amount of $404.94, which represents 15% of the amount presently owed, is due in our office no later that forty-five (45) days after receiving this notice. We are not obligated to renew this offer."At this point what are my options to pursue? This was on a Sear CC that I defaulted on 7 years ago in July. The Sears CL disappeared from all 3 CR about 3 years ago. LVNV is on there and researching old credit reports it appears they have reaged the CL. They have had the acct at least 5 yrs now. They are the only thing keeping me from getting further credit right now.Should I accept their offer, what if any consequences will there be? Any way to minimize the consequences? Can the remaining amount come back to harass me?Wanting to get this resolved in the best manner possible, so I can start moving forward.

This account is past SOL if there is no evidence of a payment in the last 4 years. You don't owe this JDB a dime.
Husker
What about the Lvnv CL on my CR? That is my biggest concern and hold up me up from getting further credit?
admin
The collection is tied to the original account. If the first late on the original account was 7+ years ago, it shouldn't be showing at all.
