Is It Normal Procedure For EX To Pull Whole File

Recommended Posts

I am in Debt Validation and have also sent my dispute letters to CRAs. I have TrueCredit online and Experian has pulled my whole report and calling it a thin file. Is this normal procedure? It also looks like Equifax updated this account I dispute and I have a credit alert and it is the one I disputed and says it has been added?

If you don't want a fraud alert on your file, or if you never asked for one; just ask the credit bureau to take it off. Do this by certified mail. Mine always get taken off this way pretty quickly. Also you may do a search here at CIC for "Fraud Alert"(FA) for further information.

I don't know what you mean by Experian pulling your report and calling it a thin file. Did you read this on your TrueCredit monitoring service? Or did you receive your Experian credit report by mail, and in the inquiries section read that Experian did a pull?

I have Truecredit online monitoring and Experian has pulled their whole report leaving me with no history or score. Just wanted to know if that is how they handle a dispute on their report?

I already disputed this account with CO and CRA (it is still in dispute) but I have an alert from CRA that they added this account. Maybe that means that the CO verified. Thought they weren't supposed to do that while in DV?

This is what is says online when I go to check my dh scores:

There is not any information in your Experian credit report that we can use to generate your credit score. This is because of one of the following reasons: you do not have any credit accounts open in your name, or you have disputed charges on the accounts you have, and by law, disputed information cannot be used to perform a score evaluation. Your credit report is classified as a "thin file" by many lenders. Because of the thin file, we do not have enough information about the way you use credit to provide you with a score. This may classify you as high risk to lenders, and there may be issues when trying to acquire new credit. If you need more credit, it may be easier to get credit from your bank you hold your accounts in or by applying with a "co-signer". You may want to delay applying for credit until you have more credit history because you will not receive optimal interest rates or loan amounts. Try to be patient, as time will allow you to develop your credit history. To build a good credit history, it is necessary to always pay all your bills on time.

I just wanted to know if this is a normal thing when disputing with CRA? Transunions just disappeared and actually on Equifax the CA updated while in DV

Well, if these accounts that are in dispute are the only accounts you have listed with Experian then I guess that would be the case according to their information they provided.

No, there is other stuff on credit report. Guess I will just wait until I hear something back about dispute.
