red1gtrubodsm
I have dealt extesively with A$$et. they generally never license themselves in any state they try to collect in. Run a query through your dept of licensing to check for sure. Them not being licensed is the main way I got them to be deleted from my CR's. I had to go through my states AG office to get the deletion, but they do fold with pressure from an AG.In general, you have to send your DV letter to the entity that sent it to you. make sure you send it CMRR so you have proof they received it. Recovering Attorney
You send teh DV to Academy. Send it certified, skip the green card, or Prioirty with Delivery confirmation. Tell them you dispute the debt as you deny owing Asset anyhing as you have never ever heard of them or done business with them. Ask them for all the usual stuff, but don't be sur[rised if you do not hear anything form Academy. They are usually a place holder: the next person you will hear about this debt form i probably a law firm
