ScoobyDoo21
I have previously been sued by a CA for a debt that is going on several years old. I responded to each filing by sending the appropriate paperwork to the local courts. I have had no contact with them until recently when they started calling my home and they recently sent me the basic photocopied statements in a letter to my home address requesting that I pay this in amount in full. Does this mean that they've given up on the lawsuit and are trying the "here's what we say you owe, so pay us" routine? I'd be interested in any advice or suggestions on this one. Thanks!! swirlgirl
You're best bet is to check with the courthouse to get the official status of the lawsuit.
chelseagirl
It sounds to me that they were hoping to get an easy default judgement against you. But since you replied to all the paperwork, it wasn't an easy attempt. They probably aren't prepared to go to court and were just hoping for a default. BUT....check with the courthouse to make sure they don't slip something by you and to keep on top of things!!!!!!
