tmac01
TU never verified an account (Paid Medical CA) within 30 days and even 40 days and I sent a 2nd letter stating their FCRA violation. I also sent a letter from the OC stating to remove the TL immediately. Today I get the famous "Frivolous" letter from TU stating not to contact them about this TL anymore but I could write a 400 word statement for my Credit Report. They totally ignored their violation and the letter from the OC. What can I do now ? Hell what should I do ? Any help is appreciated
red1gtrubodsm
I personally would send an ITS letter. If all your "ducks are in a row" , then you have nothing to worry about. I had to do that with a Portfolio Recovery collection that they kept saying was still open and unpaid. PRA said they would have their legal department type up their affidavid showing how many times they sent the correct information over to TU and EX (7). Jason
Send another certified letter to them. Then call after they get the letter. Ask for a rep in the "USA" they will tranfer you to one. (TransUnion credit bureau USA rep) Tell them you know they have your letter on file and you sent them certified and they are in violation of the FCRA ect. They will remove it. Is there any special number I should call ? I have never had any luck with CRA's on the phone. I have tried the nice approach and the more stern one and no luck. Jason what do you recommend I tell them ? just " you did not verify this TL within the 30 days there for you are in violation of the FCRA ? " Thanks a million
Jason
Call the number you have or get it from the TransUnion web site. Yes tell them they are in violation and you have sent two "certified" letters and you know they have them on file.
wahoo238
Being from TX, TFC & FCRA, I might would skip the additional letters & phone calls or ITS and just send a summons. Bet it would be corrected quickly and though be it small, a settlement check, to compensate you for your time.
