dazedandconfusedincali
My Orchard Bank card just reached 1 year so I asked for a $500.00 credit limit increase and they said Approved instantly. I was too scared to ask for a $1000 increase because I didn't want to get denied., I'm still new at this. So now my highest limit is 2400.00 and climbing. Orchard rocks!! I know most people don't like it, but they really are helping me rebuild my credit and my interest is 14% which I don't think is that bad. My Experian score is still just under 600's, but my Transunion and Equifax are in the 640's.

dazedandconfusedincali
Thank you!! I'm in escrow right now for a house I got for $105k in Riverside Co. The thing that sux if that the Governor is cutting my pay by 10% for 18 mos. So I guess if they change their mind it wouldn't be so bad, but I've worked so hard as a single mother to get here. I was proud for a minute anyway. Wish me luck!! And by the way it is still way cheaper than renting!! p.s. my scores are now in 660's
jestor151
I went to the Orchard webpage after reading your post, because I haven't visited my account in a few months. Orchard must be feeling generous, because they gave me a $200 CLI without my requesting it. I planned on firing them this month, because my other cards are so much better, and I don't feel like paying an annual fee anymore. But if they are willing to maybe bump that limit a bit more, and waive that annual fee, I may keep them around. I'm not really concerned about the interest rate, because I keep a 0 balance most of the time, and PIF when I make a purchase on it to keep the account active.Note: I also noticed that they have lowered the cash advance limit to 20% of the overall credit limit. They used to be the same amount.
looksbothways
My household bank card also got a $200 increase this month, without me asking, on top of the $20 increase I got in October (maybe October was supposed to be $200 and they typoed? Hehe) Up to a lovely $520 limit.
aquamarinebug
are you guys carrying any balances on these cards with the CLI's?
looksbothways
I am not carrying any balance currently. The last time I charged anything on the HSBC card was in early October, just after the $20 increase. I paid it off in full that month.

jestor151
I do not carry a balance. I try to use it once a month or so for something small, and I pay it off a few days later.
dazedandconfusedincali
I am carrying a $1000 balance on my Orchard. I use it all the time and I think it looks good to tell you the truth. By the way, my $200 limit card wasn't enough for me, so I went to the Orchard website and applied for another card and thats when they approved me for the $1500.00 card, which is now $2400.00. And all you have to do is get the pre approval and they'll tell you if youi qualify or not before they do a hard pull. And if you qualify then let them do the hard pull. Good luck!! itrev82
Orchard just gave me a $1000 boost automatically. It was pretty random, but I do have to say my jaw dropped when I saw it.
