Online vs mail disputing?

I think if you're really taking it seriously and you want good records, etc., you should do it through the mail. As for me, I've done most of mine online because I don't expect the CRA to do anything anyway, and it isn't worth my time to sue them.

Thank you for that sticky. Im really new to all this, Ive been reading so much the last 2 weeks its a bit of an overload. Thank you for the information.

I also have a question about two collections on my credit report from the same company but two different amounts and two different dates.

Cirro Energy is the original creditor, a collection agency called, ProCollect is collection and is on my reports. first amount is $377 2nd is $198, dates are 12/06 & 02/06. Ive only had one account with Cirro. What does this mean and what can I do besides asking for validation???

I would send mail to the CRA's asking for verification. Go through all of your old statements from the one account you state you had with them. Get in touch with Cirro. The worst thing they can do is tell you to contact the CA. In that case, once phone contact is made the CA must send you a dunning letter within five days.

I don't feel confident enough to fully answer your question, but there are many here who can help you. I hope I've at least given you a start.

If you look around on this site, there are plenty of stickies for "newbies" and plenty of articles and posts for you to spend time reading. If you don't understand something, feel free to post a question about what you've read and be sure to provide a link to the post/sticky in question so that you can be helped.
