Doesn't the reports have to be 100% correct. I disputed it twice. Isn't that a violation. When creditors check my credit they don't call the credit agencies and ask if that is correct.

If that was true, then everyone should be calling the agencies and double checking everything. Why do we even need reports then.

IF CR's had to be 100% correct (and by law, they should be), then we wouldn't need to verify or dispute things, or threaten to sue, The world would be full of happy people, sweet smelling flowers and the sun would always be shining. CA's, OC's and the like are always getting through loopholes in the law. (don't take the sarcasm too seriously :D)

As someone stated in another thread.... The FCRA isn't designed to be "consumer friendly".

This completely explains why it's such a nightmare of a process to get one's CR's straightened out.

The thing is, you only have a problem with the name of the CA. Do you think it would make a difference to a potential creditor if it showed Afni & Asset?

You did not say that the TLs were invalid. Only that the incorrect names were showing.

Everything is not a violation. Sometimes, it's a stupid error.

Actually, from reading the original post, I don't think this is the problem. I think the problem is that rather than say which collection co it is the TL just reads: Collection

So the OP wants to know who to contact etc.

(This is just what I gather from reading her post - correct me if I am wrong OP)

It just states collection for the name of the collection company. How I am suppose to dispute this if I have no idea who they are. I disputed it anyway and it came back verified twice. My question how can it come back verified if the info is wrong.

I sent two letters regular mail, they have responded to each dispute? Verifield but there is no name on the collection name, just says collection.

i check my reports online .......... for free ....... thru disputing links

i familarize myself with all the different credit bureaus and their dispute lingo // reasons

then ......................

Write type another set of letters requesting a re-investigation of the " incomplete " negative collection tradeline(s)

state in boldface multiple times that the tl is incomplete and why

no company name // no address // no phone number

also demand a method of verification to the recieved "verified" responses

demanding name of collection company ..... address ...... phone number .......

person's name furnishing information

keep the original verified response for a paper trail

you can also complain to the attorney general office of your state ........

you bang on enough doors ......... someone will finally answer

( i dispute online ...........

print everything as i go ........

i have a dated before and after dispute paper trail .............. )

Does this just work online or do you get another complete CR if you dispute something from a free annual CR?

Bunches of people say never to dispute things online... You're not actually trying to get something changed, are you? Hahahaha, if so that's awesomely sneaky  But, are you worried they'll deem you "frivolous"?
