swirlgirl
They have a name. Try giving the CRAs a call to get the proper contact info.
cmo140
Doesn't the reports have to be 100% correct. I disputed it twice. Isn't that a violation. When creditors check my credit they don't call the credit agencies and ask if that is correct. If that was true, then everyone should be calling the agencies and double checking everything. Why do we even need reports then.
swirlgirl
You can call and get the name of the CAs or you can turn this into some BS lawsuit. Threats to the CRAs won't do anything. They'll just update it. It's up to you. It's your time, money, and energy.
OMGWhatHaveIdone
Doesn't the reports have to be 100% correct. IF CR's had to be 100% correct (and by law, they should be), then we wouldn't need to verify or dispute things, or threaten to sue, The world would be full of happy people, sweet smelling flowers and the sun would always be shining. CA's, OC's and the like are always getting through loopholes in the law. (don't take the sarcasm too seriously ) As someone stated in another thread.... The FCRA isn't designed to be "consumer friendly". This completely explains why it's such a nightmare of a process to get one's CR's straightened out. swirlgirl
The thing is, you only have a problem with the name of the CA. Do you think it would make a difference to a potential creditor if it showed Afni & Asset? You did not say that the TLs were invalid. Only that the incorrect names were showing.Everything is not a violation. Sometimes, it's a stupid error.

I think the problem is that rather than say which collection co it is the TL just reads: CollectionSo the OP wants to know who to contact etc.(This is just what I gather from reading her post - correct me if I am wrong OP)
cmo140
It just states collection for the name of the collection company. How I am suppose to dispute this if I have no idea who they are. I disputed it anyway and it came back verified twice. My question how can it come back verified if the info is wrong. You're not actually trying to get something changed, are you? Hahahaha, if so that's awesomely sneaky But, are you worried they'll deem you "frivolous"?
