FixitNow
Hi,I need some clarification please.I have 2 collections accounts from medical records. Each account is for about $120 and listed with HR Accounts. I have disputed with the CRA about 3 times over the last year and a half to get these removed. They are paid and come back as verified every time. The dispute I did last month did not work.Is the next step to follow the 623 procedure with investigating? Do I send that to the CA only? Thanks! thomassl
The only possible way to remove a paid medical collection is to get the OC, if they still owned the debt, to remove it. I was able to do just that by contacting their office...someone in management...I explained that I was trying to purchase a home and these were hindering my efforts. I was very humble when speaking to them. As they were paid, the manager did not see any reason not to assist me by writing a letter to the CRA's to have it removed and sending me a copy of the letter. I waited a little while and sent copies of the letter to the CRA's and it was removed! Whoever owns the debt has the power to remove it. They are not required to do so but I find that humility does the job quite nicely!
scorch
I know someone who eventually had a CO removed by continually disputing it using a different reason every time.
admin
You can try the 623 method against the collection agency.
