namduw
I mailed a settlement offer to a creditor using the address the company provided on my credit report. The mail came back to me with a yellow label marked "forward time exp return to sender" by the post office. What should I do?
Wiser Now
happens all the time.Try google.Or, call the CRA and ask for a current mailing address -- but the CRA may not have anything different than you have.
gator944
I just had the same happen to me when trying to send a request for investigation. It was returned to sender-undeliverable as addressed. I approached it from a different angle. Not sure if it will get me anywhere, but it can't hurt to try.My follow up letter to the 2 CRAs reporting it demanded they provide me with the correct address for the data furnisher as required by the FCRA regarding accurate information. It went on to demand the TL's immediate deletion if they are unable to correct this obvious inaccuracy as evidenced by the copy of the enclosed letter that was returned to sender. We'll see what happens. I have see it before where the DF changes address and fails to update their information with the CRA. The CRA only has what it has.I never read anything in the FCRA that a bad address is grounds for deletion. It would be weird. Will be intersting to see what happens. Did you try the google thing?
