ARDKZ
Sorry about the first post sounds stupid now. I'm learning. Next question. I'm getting scared and nervous now about the CA's that have my cc accounts from the info I've read here. When and if I reach a settlement with NES and LVNV do I have to worry about them selling the debt again?
Robert Nashville/Savannah
If you have a properly worded settlement agreement then there is no "rest of the debt" to sell or collect on. An agreement needs to say something like "payment of $X will constitute settlement/payment in full of Y obligation".Now, that doesn't mean they won't "sell" the remainder anyway or that some scummy (is there any other kind) JDB/CA won't try to "collect" the remainder but if you have that binding agreement then you can tell any subsequent debt owner what they can go do with themselves.
