Mrsrsfrey
I had 2 different accounts being reported by MIDLAND on all 3 credit reports. I had them deleted about 2 years ago, and then poof they came back. Well this past December I decided to dispute through the BBB of San Diego. After numerous back and forths, my final attempt to resolve this matter I included a copy of a Commonwealth of PA civil complaint that I filled out partially and stated under Date File-You have 30 days to delete. Well I finally received a response today that MIDLAND is removing both listings from my credit reports, no further collection activity and they will not sell these accounts. This is the 3rd time a BBB has helped me to remove collection companies. I am a good record keeper, and maybe a good bs-er. At least some good news came my way. I'll have a happy weekend. Robert Nashville/Savannah
As I was telling someone else in another thread; he who has the records will always be in a stronger position than he who doesn't.Keeping proper records in this day and age is no longer something only the wealthy and anal retentive do...it's simply a part of modern life as our digitized society seems all too often to suffer memory lapses.
