Hello,

Today, I did got a call for a out of the area from "Law office in New Jersey acting as a collections agency" with a phone number of 609-570-3039. I done some some research on the internet about this company, they are so rude and very nasty to me. I did not give them my SSN# or date of birth.

Is this company going after very old accounts?

Please help me.

Thanks

D

Zombie debts - America's newest growth industry and it is totally out of control. I mean honestly, seems to me that anyone with a bit of spare time, $500-$1000 bucks, and a high speed internet connection can easily get into Junk Debt Buying these days and with only a few thousand phone calls with a free VOIP provider, can have elderley and infirmed poised to write a check or send a money order! Even worse, other than the FDCPA, there is little in the way of sustantive regulation to rein them in any time soon!

I've been getting prerecorded messages on my cell from this collector as well. My debt went into SOL in the late 1980's so he is a JDB hoping to bully you into paying. He isn't registered to collect in my state so I'm now working w/ my DA's office. He also has had several lawsuits against him in several State/Federal courts for credit collection violations and has lost 95% of them. Mr. Hecker also had his law license revoked for three months by the NJ State supreme court for numerous FDCPA violations. As soon as I get a ligit mailing address for him from my DA's office, I will post here. This guy is a real winner. Not!!!

In my state after a debt is SOL, there is nothing a collector can do. I just send them a F.O.A.D. letter, copy my DA's office and they leave me alone after that. Then a year or so later I hear from another junk debt collector trying to get blood from this turnip. I just love whacking those moles! As was said earlier, you will get hounded by JDB's until it is no longer legal or profitable for them to do this.

In every state there is an organization that oversees attorney licenses.

Search for your state and complain to that authority. This has worked for me in the past with other matters concerning lawyers. They don't ignore these complaints usually because their licenses are at stake.

Enough complaints, no more license scum lawyer!
