mt2va
Okay on 3/24 I sent a DV letter to a CA CMRRR. It is apparently lost. (personally I suspect the postal employee tossed it in the trash as soon as I left her counter...we had some "issues") But at any rate I specifically take these to the counter so they can be scanned in & I'm always able to view them online immediately. This one says its not a valid # but it matches what is on my green card & my receipt. I ended up talking to the postmaster at the office I mailed it from (not sure how I ended up with her) but she said I could take my receipt back & receive a refund. I'm assuming this means I need to send the letter again? Because if I don't I don't have any proof they ever received it. Anyone ever have this happen? Robert Nashville/Savannah
Have letters, CMRRRR or otherwise ever gotten lost or have postal workers ever thrown letters away or simply not delivered them or made some mistake, intentional or otherwise at the counter? Are you seriously asking that? Get your refund and re-send your letter.
mt2va
Well that wasn't exactly what I meant but you'll get a laugh out of this. So I went to the post office with my receipt for a refund & my new letter to mail out for my DV again. The lady comes back & with a print out & says here it shows your item was delivered the 27th. Funny how it just suddenly "showed up" after I spoke to the postmaster but it wasn't showing & in fact was saying the actual # was not valid when I had looked previously as well as when the postmaster looked.
