Dre
Ladies and Gents!! I FINALLY DID IT! I'M IN THE 700's CLUB! I never thought I would see "700" anywhere in my credit score. I was going to wait until I had this last $5K of CC debt paid off, but a situation came up to where I wanted to buy a house. My roommate is moving to Calif., and instead of throwing some money to some apt. place, I figured I would try to purchase a house. Especially with the tax breaks, the check, and the way the economy is - BEST TIME!The loan officer was really cool and laid back (have to be in Austin ). He was like, "You are pre-qualified for $125K!"). I said, "Wait Tony! What were my credit scores?". He told me, and I just started yelling with excitement over the phone. I couldn't believe it! FINALLY! After almost 2.5 years of credit repair. It can happen for everyone! I kept saying, "Man, when will it be my time? When can I post a thread like that person? Why can't I get my disputes dropped off like this poster?, etc, etc. Keep working hard, posting those questions, and putting things into action! It'll all work out for the best in the end!Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you ALL for the incredible help!!I can't believe I'm getting a house! HA! Don't worry...I will still be around...need to get those other 2 scores up !

JustaTexan
Hell yeah! :yahoo:Now on to the fun part! What type of house are you looking for? Or are you going to go the condo route? Be conservative and patient in whatever you do! And remember you don't have buy the maximum amount you are approved for. I stayed a good bit under what I was approved for and I think it has kept me afloat in these hard times! Congrats again!

I stayed a good bit under what I was approved for and I think it has kept me afloat in these hard times! Congrats again! I was thinking about a condo, but I really want a dog. Don't worry...I'm staying way under what I'm approved for...You don't have to worry about that. I'm just looking at a 2 bedroom or 3 - 1 story house. I might look into condos; will see how next week goes with the few houses I picked out.

newryman
Well done, but remember to thank the person who deserves it most - that is YOU. It takes a lot of dedication, discipline and hard work to get there. You are the one who persevered with it all and got yourself there, be proud of that achievement and good luck
