ClamClamMan
Hi All,On EF and TU I have 2 Public Records that don't seem right to me. I have placed the actual listings below so you can see.Apparently it says I owe NY State taxes and if I do I was not aware of it but I have no problem making amends for any tax burden I actually owe.Can you offer me some guidance on how to handle these items? If I actually owe the tax I will pay it but I would like the best possible outcome on my credit report and before I begin making inquiries about this I would like to get some information from you all.Your thoughts please?EFJudgement Date Filed:3/1/2008 Reference #: xxxxxxxxxxx Court: ALBANY COUPlaintiff:STATE OF NEW YORKLiability: $705.00Asset Amount: Tax Lien Date Filed:6/1/2005Reference #: xxxxxxxCourt:ALBANY COUPlaintiff:Liability: $1,411.00Asset Amount:TUState tax lienDate Filed: 3/4/2008Reference #: xxxxxxxxCourt: Recorder of DeedsPlaintiff: BX04P50723Liability: $705.00Asset AmountState tax lienDate Filed: 6/7/2005Reference #: xxxxxxxxCourt: County CourtPlaintiff: NYS DEPT OF TAX AND FILiability: $1,411.00Asset AmountOn a positive note: In less then one month of reading this site, following the recommendations, sending disputes, DV's and 1 PFD I have increased my Experian score from 591 to 631!!!!!! Remember the adage about fighting City Hall.Check with the court, and you can probably look online, to see if in fact there really is a judgment against you.
