oceans
Last reports I had were from May 2008. I just pulled all three individually and they all changed... two for the better, one for the worst. Why so different?Experian: was 641 and is now 581Equifax: was 562 and is now 619Transunion: was 625 and is now 763????????I am going to sit down over the next few days and create a spreadsheet so I can try to see what is different between now and then and see what I can do about it.Any thoughts on what it may be? OU812B4
I pulled my scores the other day and saw a big difference in my EQ score compared to the others (EQ was higher by over 100 points). I'm not sure what caused it so I am curious as to what others have to say about this also. I had the CRA's re-open some previous disputes with some new info I had, but nothing has been changed as of yet so I can't figure out why my score with EQ suddenly jumped. Not that I'm complaining
cap1kid
Where did you get your scores? For true comparison you should be getting them from www.myfico.com these are the real FICO scores (the ones most lenders use) If you got your score from other sources they are FAKOS and seem to fluctuate. You can get your TU and EQ from myfico- they no longer sell experian- ( few lenders use experian anyway ) seacrh for myfico discount codes before you buy.I would get your reports from www.annualcreditreport.com (this is the free way to get a report- allowed by Federal Law) use these to do your disputing and comparison.Over the past few years dozens of companies have popped up offering 'freereports' free scores etc. It leads to mass confusion. The main thing is establishing good habits , managing your debt, and not applying for too much credit. cap1kid
Myfico Standard is the one that gives you the score - its 15.95 for the score and report for Tu and 15.95 for Eq - EX is not available:Here is a 25% discount code: CPPSAVINGSI'm not sure if the code still works.Don't worry about the EX score.....So the total for both scores will be $22.33- I wouldn't bother with the monitoring services- do your disputes , let you accounts age and check the scores in 6 months to check your progress. oceans
Hi everyone. Thanks for your replies and suggestions. I got my recent reports from www.annualcreditreport.com. The reports were free but I paid like $7.95ish for the score/each. So, those aren't true FICO... they are FAKO? And the drop in Experian should not concern me as much? astiman
They are FAKO scores unless they are from MyFico. As such FAKO scores are useless.
