lobo2005
I had a business credit card from Wells Fargo that had a balance of $9,500 that was charged off. Since I personally guaranteed the card my personal credit report has been damaged. I received a letter from a collection agency asking me to respond within 30 days. I responded by sending a DV request that asked them to validate the debt, show me they were licensed to collect the debt in my state of Colorado, to only contact me via mail and to not make any more negative reports on my credit until this was provided. I requested that they do this within 30 days and the letter was sent via certified mail.It has been more than 30 days with no response. What now??All replies are appreciated. nascar
The fact that you personally guaranteed the debt is secondary to the fact that it's a business debt. The FDCPA does not apply.
