Looking at the list of each states statute of limitations here and also on Bankrate.com there are differences for the state of Colorado.

One has 3 years and the other has 6 years for open ended accounts.

Can someone please tell me which is correct. I guess we all should have gone to law school to read our states laws anymore.

Here is the bankrate.com list

Here is the listing here at credit info: http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml

Thank You

These things are sometimes in a state of confusion and disagreement.

I know that someone in here once contacted the Kentucky AG's office who said in essence 5 years or 15 years. We don't know. Some judges have ruled 5 years and other 15 years. Your guess is as good as ours.

On Colorado, I'm inclined to say 3 years per §13-80-101.

One advantage to CIC is there's a link to the applicable statutes, even though legal decisions might muddle the issue, clarify it, or both.
