bunnystevens
I settled in a lawsuit. ONLY because the person who sued me had a lot more money than I did & could afford to keep it going & going...after spending over $25k with my attorney, I settled for $42K (they wanted $150k). I gave $12k up front & payments of $1250 monthly. I have only 8 months left of payments & am going to be late this month. (I own my own business, I have had a large client default on $25k he owes me.) This is the first time ever being late. What happens? Can the other party get a lien or judgement against me? thank you. What happens?Contact the person you are paying and let them know the circumstances regarding your late payment. They may be willing to work with you.
