payin4mistakes
I am in the process of car shopping and want to submit to several different dealers loan applications for financing - is it true that if the credit applications are submitted all within a 30 day period - it will be counted as only one inquiry - comparable to mortgage credit applications? Mische
I am not sure about this but there's nothing to loose if you try asking your creditors or banks which you have to apply for your car loans. Good luck to your car shopping.
Fizzle1979
I believe I've read before that all auto inquires in a 14 day period are considered one inquiry as far as FICO is concerned. I've never heard the 30 days you mentioned in your post. Also, there are other options than using dealer financing. I've use both Capital One Auto Loans Blank Check Program back in 2005 and Pentagon Federal Credit Union's program back in 2008. It was a good feeling walking into a dealership saying I'll write you a check for X amount for that car, take it or leave it.
