Carolinablue
I went to the Innovis website to get a free copy of my credit report. from them. I called the number and for some reason couldn't do it by phone, so when I clicked on the link which tells what to send in by mail I was a little stunned to find this:https://www.innovis.com/InnovisWeb/fees.htmlAm I totally mistaken that EVERYONE, regardless of the state in which they reside, is entitled to a free credit report annually under the FACT Act?? Am I wrong or is Innovis in complete violation?Any input is apprectiated!
Fizzle1979
Call them up and tell them you want your free copy of your credit report as required by law.I did this a few years ago on the phone and they mailed it to me shortly.
Carolinablue
Thanks, Fizzle!I think they purposely make it sound as if you have to pay so most people don't even try. It confused me and I've been at this for a few years! I submitted the form they provide and they sent me the free report, no problem.
Carolinablue
Also, since you have dealt with them, do you happen to know if they collect their own data from companies, or do they just compile info from the Big 3 for their reports?I remember reading somewhere that they just compiled the info from EQ, EX, and TU CR's, but that was a was a long time ago, and I may not be remembering correctly (old age is setting in)! KCG116
I disputed items with them months ago and with a day they had "verified" all accounts as correct-including ones that were not even mine!
Fizzle1979
I am not sure how they get their information but when I got my report from them a while back they had no accounts on me.
