Sgt.JiMcK
My wife was injured on the job last November (2008). She phoned her supervisor and obtained verbal authorization from her supervisor to seek medical attention... stitches. A few months later she received a bill from the hospital. She notified her employer and gave them the bill. She was advised it would be taken care of. Now she's getting calls from a collection agency for payment. Apparently her employer is denying the claim or just not paying the bill and now my wife has a collections agency calling her. Her employer wont speak to her about it. What can we do? jewel1325
Her supervisor/employer was required to complete a workers comp report on the injury. Was that ever done? If not, your wife may need to consult an attorney or the Fair Labor Relations Board.
