toots68
UPDATE Nov 4, 2009 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------OK - here is the update - I sent my letter to the court and the attorney sueing me. Shortly after sending them I received a letter from the court informing me that I have a court date set for Jan 4th. Then I received a letter from the attorney offering to settle my account for 80% of the balance owed. Then yesterday I received a packet from the attorney wanting me to answer a bunch of questions and they enclosed a floppy disk (like that does me any good - I don't have a floppy drive on my pc)! So, do I now send a letter to the attorney with my counter offer? Do I answer all the questions and send them back?? I am clueless as to what to do now!! Please help!!! unusualsuspect
It's called Discovery.Send your own questions back to them. You can of course offer something A LOT lower than 80%.
