Reporting after Judgment.

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody, here is my question:

Once a judgment is issued and the CA tries to collect, are they required to report the correct account info to the CRAs?

I have this CA reporting wrong account openning dates, etc , but not reporting the default judgment!

What would you do? Let it slide or go for a DV?

:)

They are not required to credit report ...

And in answer to your question ... *I* would much rather live with a wrong opening date than a have judgement reporting .... By DVing you may tick them off or wake them up and they then report the whole thing ...

So *I* would let it ride for now ....

Judgments, being public records can be reported on your credit report... however, they can easily be challenged and deleted...

I had a judgment reporting... EX and EF deleted after 1st dispute. TU took 1 dispute, 1 phone call and a method of verification request. Got a letter back a few days later stating " The item is not being reported on your Transunion report..."
