Assuming the release is notarized, go record it first.

Then dispute with the CRA's again. You may get it deleted at that point because it is not reporting accurately (it is satisfied and you said they are showing it for the full amount). Sometimes it is easier for the CRA's to delete then update the info. If that does not work, may someone else here knows what to do next.

Have you researched with the courts to see if anything is/was recorded?

If the judgement was recorded in the first place the atty would have filed the release as well ...

Who is the judgement holder (showing on your CR)?

The data furnisher should only report accurate info so a letter to them may be a place to start.

Was the info updated after your dispute with the CB?

Thats where *I* would start ....

All you need to do is file a Vacate Judgement form with the court in which the judgement was initially filed. Typically, cases of this nature are filed in the county court, check your judgement. Once you file the vacate judgement form, the courts will update their records to show paid within 30-45 days. Finally, dispute the information with the credit bureaus, and they will delete the item.

The OP must go get the release of judgment form filed with the court. This will close out the case.

Then re-dispute the judgment showing on the credit report. It will either fall off or show as being "satisfied."
