Ms_Nomer
Niagara Credit Recovery appeared out of virtually no where. Very little to be found about company who is majorly aggressive, breaking all fair collection practices and claiming to have provided information that was never received. Any background info you've bumped into I've reported them to the WDFI and am waiting for their report.
WhoCares1000
Check out Bud Hibbs website. He would know how these agencies are interconnected. Sounds like another Buffalo NY collection agency is trying its foot in the water (yes, they are that hard up in Buffalo).Simply Google Bud Hibbs and you will get your answer. Ms_Nomer
I've done that. Can't find any connections though. I dug up a site that says NCR was opened in May of this year. I know they must have former entities... Thanks for the suggestion tho Who - I'm a big fan of Bud's too!

WhoCares1000
Looks like either a new agency or an old one that got shut down and restarted with a new name. Looks they they got some Federal stimulus loan guarantees too. Just send them and FOAD letter and if they violate that, threaten to contact the New York AG. WhoCares1000
FOAD = **** Off And DieIt is the term used around here for a cease communications letter that can be sent to totally stop a collector from contacting you under the FDCPA. Once they receive the letter, the collector can contact you only once more and only for the purposes of informing you as to what their next action will be. Ms_Nomer
Thanks all. I've been so absorbed in attempts to grasp civil procedure and fair collection acts that I worried I'd missed a key component motion. When I googled FOAD and found the above definition, I did a double take and choked coffee up one nose hole. Profoundly applicable, this FOADing thingy.
