scorch
Does anyone know what I am referring to?
Bigwoodystyl
Empirica 1.0, 2.0, 3.0.... =Trans UnionBeacon 1.0, 2.0, 3.0...=EquifaxFICO/EX or FICO II or FICO III FICO IV, et al=ExperianThese are the custom scoring models that Fair Isaac designed for each of the 3 bureaus. These models are sold to lenders [who then calculate your score based on factors from your loan application and upon information found within your credit reports]. Note: interfacing software called Strategyware [also sold by Fair Isaac] links the credit bureaus' databases directly to the local scoring model. Note: a company called EDS sells a product that links the application data to the same local scoring model."FICO Classic 98" I've never heard of. If I had to guess, I would have to say that it is an Experian score designed in 1998. I say that because Beacon/EQ and Empirica/TU have been around for a long time and Experian's model doesn't really have a name.

Bigwoodystyl
OK, so what is your question?
scorch
OK, so what is your question?I was just wondering what these terms were. I think you answered that.Yea, sorry if I was being vague. They were all in this letter that was sent to me after applying for a mortgage next to each score. I just didn't know what they meant. My TU and EQ scores in this letter were the exact same as the scores I had previously purchased from myfico.com which are noted in my signature.
