scooba_J
I'm running out of time and need some responses to this.Hello. I previously posted about a situation where after 36 days a CRA didn't respond to my dispute. They verified it on day 37(not the annual report). When I sent letters and called to inform them that they must remove the item, I got the run around and in the end it didn't work. What should I do this time if they haven't responded in 30 days. Would it be a good idea to call them on day 32 to let them know that the item wasn't verified and must be removed. I figure maybe I should beat them to the punch before they are able to verify it after the 30 day deadline.last time when I sent them a late notice, they regarded it as another dispute. Does anyone think this prompt phone call method might work or will I be "giving them more information" while adding another 15 days to the dispute? tropicaljo
Nope. I don't think it will work to get the results you want. If this is the second dispute on the same trade line, you probably should go to the information furnisher and attack it from that angle.
scooba_J
It's not the same tradeline that I am disputing. These new items have never been disputed by me before. I'm hoping that if I call them on day 31 or something that they will agree that they have to remove the disputed items. Does anyone else think that this will work or will it just backfire?P.S. Last time, they claimed that I used the Annual Credit Report even though I didn't. This time I'm disputing based on the Equifax report that they send you in respons to a previous dispute. tropicaljo
Still, my answer is the same. I don't think you'll get the results you're looking for and you should go after the information furnisher. I could be wrong, and if I am I'm sure others will chime in. You might hold off calling, wait for the results and then utilize the highly recommended 623 method to go after the information furninsher. Patience, a plan of action, and timing will get you what you want.
