DntMessWTX
I am doing a lot of research on how to responds to motions for summary judgment and to motion for summary dismissal etc. one thing that I am not sure about is can you use cases from OTHER states in your responses and motions? For example, I live in texas, can I use something from california. Common sense would say no, since the civil codes are different, however, I would still think that the judge might at least read the siting and if it applies would consider it. OTherwise, I feel like its next to impossible to search every case in texas for what I am looking for in each case without weeks of googling and searching -- Thanks --
Guest usctrojanalum
if you are having trouble finding cases use west law, using a case from Cali is not going to help you.
