Should I hurry and put a dispute in on this? GMAC will be pulling within next few weeks so I know it will not be removed by then but not sure if I should leave alone or have it in dispute format on CR.

Never heard of this Collection Agency

Melissa, if you read my post in this forum from 9/13, you'll see that I am having issues getting a mortgage approved specifically because there are notations on my CR that I am disputing some tradelines. No gurus have replied to me yet, so I don't know how common this is (or exactly what to do about it), but it is definitely something to be aware of!

If you know that you don't have enough time to get the disputes filed, researched, and removed before GMAC pulls your CR, you might be better off waiting until the mortgage is finalized to dispute. It would suck to shoot yourself in the foot by adding dispute notes to the report and making things worse instead of better! Like I said, I don't know how common it is for a lender to complain about disputes, but it certainly wasn't something I was expecting, so I thought I should warn you!
