jimmer
yesterday I learend of Citifinancials lawsuit against me by way of 2 soliciations from law firms offering to assist me in defending myself with respect to Citifinancials lawsuit for default on my loan. Included in the mail was a yellow slip for the certified mail I was not home to receive. So I know its out there and I will likely pickit up from the post office today or tomorrow.I went online to the local courthouse website and confirmed suit was filed. What is frustrating is that Citifinancial waited until my loan was 40 days past due and took action. I have been a client for about 10 years on various loans.I contacted their customer service dept and was referred to the local branch. I called the branch this morning and the manager is out until this afternoon. My hope is that they will allow me to pay the August & September payments and dismiss. I guess I am looking for someone to pull me in off the ledge so to speak! I have never been down this road before. Am I being too Pollyannish hoping Citifinancial will take me back so I can this off my CR and go on as before?I should add, in the event of a judgement againsgt me - I don't have the cash nor an avenue to obtain cash to pay the loan unless another lender Am Gen would lend me the $$ since I'm not adding to debt but exchanging one loan for another ... of course with this hanging out there they may send me packing too!As you can see I am totaly frazzled. Any words of wisdom??? Thanks!
Guest usctrojanalum
You are 40 days past due and they filed suit? Yikes.
jimmer
Thats the thing! Could it be that they see how much I make and would rathr squeeze me now for as much as they can get vs. letting me pay through the end of the loan and get all the extra interest? It seems almost personal! I dropped the ball and missed the payment but man!
Guest usctrojanalum
I don't know this is strange. Call the Branch Manager back see what they tell you. If they were this fast to file suit, I'm not that confident they will just dismiss the case if you pay up the two months you are behind.
