britntwit
I have 3 small student loans that are about 3 years old. I applied online for a goverment student repayment plan last month. I just received a letter from the state of California (apparently they have bought the loans) saying that they are about to garnish my wages. I have until 10/14 to respond.I called to check on the status of my repayment application and the automated system said that it is in the certification stage. They have sent a letter to the loan holder requesting the total loan amounts. After they receive a response they will continue processing my application.I then spoke to service rep who told me that the loan holder still has control of the loan and there is nothing they can do.What should my next step be?
