Hi All,

I haven't been here in a while...

My case is finally going to arbitration...

I have no idea what to do now...

I talked with a lawyer today who said I should just settle, that I don't have a good defence. He said he arbitrates many of these cases and that he only has had 1 that the defended won...

ahhhhh

Ima scaredy... what to do next...

I have no idea how to present a case... and should I just settle so as to not have to pay fees all over the place...

any help would be great,

Thanks so much

I haven't been on the forum in a long time, but check in once in a while. I do not remember what your case was, but I may be able to help since I went through this a few months ago in Oregon.

One question...are you going to arbitration or STATE MANDATED arbitration? There is a difference in Oregon. Some of the courts call it Alternate Dispute Resolution or ADR. Are you truly going through arbitration using JAMS or another arbitration forum? And who is the plaintiff in your case?

I don't know if I can fully help, but I may be able to help you with a few points here in Oregon.

I am in the middle of a law suit with a CA..We are in the Discovery phase..They have sent me theirs and I will send my answers and my Discovery to them...

My state is one in which there is mandatory Arbitration.

I don't have the money to pay the Pro Rata share of the Arbitrator's fee..

I received notice and am wondering what to do...

It says that I can seek an exemption from arbitration...

I don't think I want to go to Arbitration...but I am not sure of the pro's and con's to each...

Anyone that has any thoughts on this, please respond...

Thank you for any help you can give..

Assume its mandatory Arbitration.
