MustangGrrL027
Does anyone else have "Fred Hanna, Attorney at Law 2160 Kingston CT SE Marietta, GA 30067-8951” as an inquirer on their credit report? If so, you'd be interested in knowing there is NO Fred Hanna this address. FREDERICK J HANNA & ASSOCIATES, INC made four hard inquiries on my Equifax credit report and was listed as “Fred Hanna, attorney at Law 2160 Kingston CT SE Marietta, GA 30067-8951” late last year. I sent a letter TWICE to this address and was returned as UNDELIVERABLE. I disputed the inquiries through Equifax and informed them this address was undeliverable. Equifax responded telling me to contact the creditor directly at the given address (duh!). SO I DECIDED TO GO VISIT THIS FRED HANNA OFFICE TODAY IN PERSONFirst of all, the address listed with Equifax doesn’t denote a Suite # for Mr Hanna as this address has Suites A-H across the front of the building and I-O across the back of the building. This alone could result in undeliverable mail. I did a little research on this address, and found on Budd Hibb’s website that Fred Hanna has used this address with “Suite O” denoted. So, I visited Suite O where I found “A & R Engineering, Inc” not Fred Hanna, attorney at Law. I was told Fred Hanna sold them the office space 3-4 years ago but they still get mail for Fred Hanna on a daily basis which they return as deliverable. So basically, Fred Hanna is taking cracks at people's credit reports with this fraudulent address which no one can directly dispute. Equifax has been notified of this fraudulent use of address and has done nothing about it. This has got to be illegal in so many ways....Any suggestions on what to do now? KentWA
If it was me I would check to see who thier Registered Agent is and slap a suit on them as well as report them to the AG.
MustangGrrL027
Well, Mr Hanna has several companies registered here in Georgia with the Secretary of State, and one I can find that did once list this address but changed it twice since then. His principal place of business now as a debt collector is a totally different address. Should I serve him there?
Mimi-to-8
Filing a complaint with the AG will do no good. The Georgia AG is not allowed to investigate an "attorney" even if they are debt collectors, due to non other than Fred Hanna, winning a court case over it.I got a letter from the AG in response to my complaint on Zwicker about it being an issue with privacy and client confidentiality. It will do you no good here! Here is a link:http://www.insidearm.com/go/arm-news/collection-law-firm-victorious-against-state-in-supreme-court-case

Mimi-to-8
This is a Georgia issue but I do not know about other states. I also filed a complaint against Zwicker in their primary state of MA. The MA AG called me to discuss the matter, sent Zwicker a letter, and followed up with me twice by sending Zwicker's response to me.It's good to get the complaint on record because if they get enough of them, they may act on it. Anne Tyler
That's encouraging that the AG contacted you. Getting noticed is good, getting enough notices to accomplish your goal is even better. So yes, I will go ahead and followup with the AG on this. It's all so subject to the diligence and commitment of the people on the other end and who knows how any state will go? Give it a shot I say.Thanks.
