What constitutes Judicial Misconduct?

Recommended Posts

A conversation/topic that started out about one thing lead to another issue ultimately of what constitutes judicial misconduct.

Here is a link to it.

This is a very important concept/topic because unless there is a clear understanding of what judges are charged to do and what proper conduct is, how can we hope to get justice in a court of law.

It doesn't matter what other judges do (in effect to explain away misconduct because other judges do it). That seems to be a juvenile mindset similar to: "But Mom, the other kids do it".

Anyway, here is the link, for better or worse. Maybe I just expect too much? That seems to be the thinking. Is that what we want, to lower our expectations of the court to meet the current standard of what is allowable misconduct, in effect.
