racehorse
I have a judgment on my report with Experian only--the other reporting agencies do not report it. This is with a law office I agreed to pay a debt before it went to court and before I had a legal judgment against me. I paid the debt in full. The law office agrees I paid it in full. They have no record of having sent any paperwork to the courthouse and yet the judgment appears on my credit report, hurting my scores. We are going to be putting our house in the spring and upgrading, so of course, it's very important to get this resolved quickly. What should I do? My lawyer suggests they send a letter to Experian explaining the issue. How could the courthouse have sent this paperwork to the CRA without it being initiated by the creditor's law office?
