Medical Collection and an ugly collection co

Ok I just got a letter from a collection agency from a hospital bill- it says I have 30 days to verify the debt. It is mine obviously and I do owe it however does anyone know at this point (besides paying in full) how I can keep this off my credit report?

Secondly, I just had a bill for 211.00 show up on my credit report. I have not had BellSouth in probably 10 yrs and if I owe money it is news to me. I was not sent anything informing me of this bill before it showed up on my credit report. I sent a strongly worded letter asking them to verify the debt and they sent it back and said they could not find it and that I would have to get the full account number from my credit report. - It is IC systems- I feel like they are just stalling on verifying because obviously they could look me up by name in their system- how do I handle?

You file suit against IC Systems for the false statement that they cannot find your account. They found it to report it to the CRA. Now they are telling you they don't have it?

If it is over ten years old they re-aged it because FCRA prohibits reporting derog accounts over 7.5 years old. Another suit.

IC Systems owes you $2,000.
