DavidC
Hello Everyone,Over the past couple of months I've been reading a lot about credit repair, settling accounts, etc... I've saved up some money to begin paying off my old delinquent accounts, but I just want to make sure I go about this with the best possible outcome. Here are the 3 accounts I currently have.Account Name BANK OF AMERICA Account Type Credit Card Balance $2,723.00 Date Opened 3/1/2006 Account Status Closed Mo. Payment Close Account DetailsPast Due $644.00 Payment Status Charge-off High Balance Limit $4,600.00 Terms Revolving Comments Credit line closed-consumer request-reported by subscriberAccount Name CHASE Account Type Credit Card Balance $4,991.00 Date Opened 1/1/2005 Account Status Closed Mo. Payment Close Account DetailsPast Due $346.00 Payment Status Seriously past due date / assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department High Balance Limit Terms 1 MonthI sent out a Pay for Delete letter to the last one last week and am still awaiting a reply. Now for the first 2, it says they are charged-off but I don't see any other collection accounts in my credit report so I don't know who to contact regarding these. Everyone seems to say things differently on what I should try to get out of these accounts since everyones situation can be slightly different. What would be my best option to get these accounts taken care of?
