milo57
I have started to repair some items on my credit which most have come off. I went through a short sale with two rental properties that I missed payments on for 10 months due to brain surgery. The bank would not work with me for six months before this happened. Anyway, we did a short sale and the bank sent me the payoff notices on both as well a reporting them paid in full on my FICO report. The question is how do I get the late payments off the report? The letter I sent out to them and the big three came back verified:confused: What would be my next step? The one hundred word letter telling the agency why this happened? Thanks in advance for the help...Keith
BV80
If the banks are reporting correctly, you have no dispute. You could send a letter explaining your situation, but they are under no obligation to remove the record of late payments.Take heart, though. The older a negative entry, the less impact it has on your overall score. Newer positive entries will eventually offset those negatives.
