DarkRave
I'm trying to apply for new credit card to improve my credit a bit, but I'm worried about being rejected due to address not matching. Both TU and EQ have my correct address (I've been living here for 2 years). Experian on the other hand is being very difficult. They have been reporting my old address as my current address for past two years.I have tried sending them a letter by mail, and I attached a copy of my driver license and an utility bill. The only response I got was a copy of my credit report still showing the old address. Nothing else. That was few months ago, and my old address is stilling showing as my current address.Any advice? Will this give me a problem if I apply for credit?
momof5
I would send a follow-up...."Do I *have* to sue you to get you to report accurate information? You are getting to the point where your refusal to update my address on the file is tantamount to "willful non-compliance"."I did this with EX.....next month it was accurate. (BTW, It was for my name. I have been married over 2 yrs and they were still not reporting my new name!)
VADebtor
I have the same problem with TransUnion - they report old addresses but not my current. The funny thing is that they are showing all of the same creditors who reported the new address to the other two! I guess I'll need to send them a letter and go from there.
