islefan39
I pulled my 3 reports and I see on my transuion that it has dates that 2 of my charge offs are scheduled to come off the report. One is 8/11 and the other is 2/12. Are these dates only for transuion or will they come off all three? Also since the one is scheduled to come off in august should I just leave that one alone and let it fall off?
BV80
A negative trade line can only remain on any CR for 7 to 7 1/2 years after the date the account went into default. The older a negative TL is, the less of an effect it has on your score. Neither one of those TLs are having a major effect. Unless you just want them off or need them off for some reason, I'd leave them alone.
islefan39
The transunion report is the only one that has these dates on it. Does that mean that they will only come off the transunion at that time and remain on the other two? Or should they come off all three and it's just that the other two don't list the dates? BV80
The law applies to all of the credit reporting agencies. As long as the date of first major delinquency is the same on all the reports, the TLs should come off all reports at the same time.
