Amerikaner83
Changes are... That thing from 4 years ago added history to your reports, which is good. Remedy that by keeping to build good credit habits... See my signature quote. The score drop is temporary... You probably went into a new scorecard. Think of it like this- a 600 with a bankruptcy is not the same as a 600 without a bankruptcy. The number is the same but the actual impact on your score is not. Those were the only changes to the report... you sure? No other cards reported higher balances or anything?
bridgett68
in detail -I disputed a collection account 4 yrs ago to try to have it removed, they didn't remove it -it showed on my report that i disputed it. im trying to buy a house the loan processor said i could'nt have any disputes on my account so the collection agency said it wasn't showing u as in dispute on their end so i called experian and they asked if this as my account and i said yes they removed it. it still shows all the negative stuff on my report just not that i dispute it.also for y4 years ago I said a tmobile account wasn't mine- so they removed it and put a 7yr fraud alert on my report. I had that removed too yesterday. nothing else has changed i pay my bills on time.then my score dropped 84 points today.can i call experian and dispute the score change ??? Amerikaner83
no.you can't dispute a SCORE CHANGE....period. besides - which "score" changed? a FICO? i doubt it since it's EX and they don't work with FICO any longer...are you referring to the score you get from yourself at creditreport.com or something like that? Because I wouldn't worry about that at all.
momof5
This is what happened....you requested the "in dispute" be removed. The CRA accomodated you. When you did that, there became a new "reported on" date. Unfortunately, this refreshes collection accts for scoring purposes and will ding your score for a short time.Like Amerikaner said....you are most likely looking at FAKO scores. I actually had a new inq hit.....I was notified by EQ Credit Watch. THEIR FAKO went down a couple of points. On the same day, I got a FICO Score Watch notice....my score had gone UP 1 pt (because other things changed!)As GEORGE on another site says about scoring..... "Random number generator!"
