lightzap
its TNB-Target and they are on my credit report and I don't remember owing them anything.I pulled my CR and found their name on it so I decided to DV them because they say I am 2 months behind on paying something I have no idea what it is. It could simply be a mistake. If it's not your debt, and if Target won't remove the entry, dispute the debt directly with the credit reporting agencies. I would dispute in a written letter, not online. If it comes back verified, and you know for a fact that it is not your account, give Target one more chance to remove it. If all else fails, contact an attorney.
lightzap
I think I made a mistake and I sent a DV letter without them sending me a collection letter.. see I just sent it because I pulled my credit report and they were on it and I dont know why. What should I do about this? 1stStep
Target is an OC, they do not have to respond to a DV letter. If you don't owe them anything, dispute this with the CRAs first and see what happens.
