2Curious
We have a small nonprofit which recently had a grant not be renewed and a partnership with the local NBA team (currently locked out) alowed us to fundraise through the season. We currently have some debt but little revenue coming in to cover it. If the credit cards are in my name and the organization files for bankruptcy will they still be able to pursue me? Denita
How were the credit cards issued to you? Were they issued under the non-profit's name with you as a personal guarantor?
2Curious
Yes. They asked for the organization's info but mine as well.
willingtocope
If you personally guaranteed the cards, they'll come after you.
Torden
It will depend on what you signed. If you signed for something given to the bank, it very likely was a personal guarantee (not a good thing to be doing unless you were the executive of the NP).
